FCSS provides a wide range of services designed to promote individual, family, and community wellness. Our Advisory Board comprised of community members is in place to assist with program planning and delivery to meet the diverse needs of our people.
FCSS is a provincial program that is unique across Canada with partial funding provided for its operations. We are an accredited organization run by professionals as well as a member of the FCSS Association of Alberta.

Nutritious. Affordable. Delivered with Care.
Our Meals on Wheels program provides healthy, home-style meals to seniors, individuals with mobility challenges, and those recovering from illness — right to their door.
In partnership with Bassano Playfair Lodge, meals are prepared fresh daily and delivered by our dedicated Volunteer Driver of the Day, who brings not only nourishment but a friendly check-in and community connection.
Cost: $11.25 per meal, billed monthly
Includes: A hot, nutritious meal prepared with care
Delivery: Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays)
Eligibility: Open to residents in need of meal assistance due to age, health, or mobility

To provide low-income individuals/families with the opportunity to receive program subsidization allowing cost reduction to Bassano FCSS facilitated social and educational programs and increasing accessibility through barrier reduction.
Program Subsidy is offered to residents of the Town of Bassano and the Brooks Newell Region. To apply for subsidy please access the application form below.
