To support your investment ideas and to help grow our community several development incentives have been adopted. The incentives were developed with the community in mind and they strike a balance to enable a variety of residential and commercial growth options.
All development incentives have unique terms and are time-bound. Take advantage of these value-added incentives before 2025!
The purpose of this development incentive is to:
Revitalize a privately owned vacant, abandoned, derelict or poorly conditioned residential property and receive a municipal tax credit of up to $10,000.
Add a residential backyard suite to a privately owned residential property and receive a municipal tax credit up to $10,000 (building conversions apply).
The purpose of this development incentive is to:
The Town opted all municipally owned vacant land under fair market value while offering municipal tax credits up to $10,000. All lands were sold by December 31, 2023. Purchasers have 6-months to submit their development plans for approval and one-year after to build. Any buyer that fails to meet their commitments must return the land to the Town. If any lands are returned, the Town will repost them publicly for purchase. Opportunities will be posted at here and on realtor.ca.
