Town of Bassano Council Chambers
Pursuant to sections 216.4, 606, 606.1 and 692 of the Municipal Municipal Government Act, Statutes of Alberta, Chapter M-26, 2000, as amended, and Town of Bassano Bylaw 921/21, the Council of the Town of Bassano, in the Province of Alberta, hereby gives notice of its intention to adopt Bylaw No. 945/25 being an amendment to Land Use Bylaw No. 921/21 for the municipality.
WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Bassano desires to reduce the minimum floor area requirement for Large Lot Residential (R3) single unit dwelling of Land Use Bylaw No. 921/21.
AND WHEREAS the general purpose of the proposed amendments is to reduce the minimum floor area of single-unit dwellings from 167.2 m² (1,800 ft²) to 130.06 m² (1,400 ft2).
THEREFORE, TAKE NOTICE THAT a Public Hearing to consider the proposed Bylaw No. 945/25 will be held in the Town of Bassano Council Chambers at 6:30 p.m. on March 10, 2025
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE THAT anyone wishing to make a presentation regarding the proposed Bylaw should provide written comments to the Chief Administrative Officer no later than
12:00 p.m (noon), March 10, 2025. Council may hear from persons who did not indicate in writing to the Municipal Administrator their intention to make a submission.
Copies of the bylaw are available to the public for viewing during regular office hours and copies will be provided at cost.
