Fit and Free Youth is an exciting community program designed to promote physical activity and wellness for young individuals. Starting in February, the program will be available on alternating Fridays from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Bassano Community Hall. Fit and Free – Youth offers free access to a variety of fitness equipment and group activities. Participants will have access to weights, stability balls, yoga mats, resistance bands, and group games, allowing them to explore different types of exercise in a fun and engaging way. The program is open to all youth, with a signed liability waiver required for participation, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the benefits of staying active. Rural Pop Up is a provincially funded program delivered in partnership with the SPEC and Brooks & Area Family Resource Centre. Join Miss Meriam at the Bassano Community Hall for the free program. The program is for children ages 0-6 with a caregiver designed to develop social and gross motor skills.

Guided Meditation

Are you ready to take a step towards better well-being and inner peace? Join us for a transformative Guided Meditation event, where you’ll be gently guided through a calming experience designed to help you relax, center your mind, and rejuvenate your spirit.

During this session, a skilled instructor will lead you through a variety of meditation techniques designed for all experience levels. Whether you’re new to meditation or a seasoned practitioner, this event will offer something special for you.

Fit and Free - Adults

Fit and Free Adults is a community program designed to promote health and fitness for individuals of all levels, offering free access to a variety of exercise equipment and activities. The program takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at Bassano Community Hall from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, providing participants with an opportunity to engage in physical activity in a welcoming and supportive environment. Equipment available includes weights, stability balls, yoga mats, and resistance bands, allowing participants to tailor their workouts to their own fitness needs. The program is open to everyone, with a signed liability waiver required for participation, ensuring a safe and inclusive space for adults looking to improve their physical well-being. Dinner and Music

Kick off the weekend on Friday, June 7, 2024, with our BBQ dinner and live music event! Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Town Office or online. For more information click below.

Gas Service Amature Steak Cook-Off Application

Challenge your neighbor to see who really is the backyard BBQ king! On June 8, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. participants cook two steaks provided by the Town and have them judged KCBS official judges. For more information and to register see below.

Show Up and Show Of Auto How

Our event is expanding to include the Show Up and Show Off Auto Show on Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. All cars, trucks, bikes, and big rigs are welcome.

Vendor Application

Sell your wares, products, and services, or share information on the event grounds (610 2nd Avenue, Bassano) Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. All types of vendors are welcome.

Professional Competition Registration

No Fire Ban

FIRE BAN DEFINITIONS

The Town of Bassano has an active FIRE BAN. A Fire Ban means no fires except for approved gas or propane cooking appliances.

The Town of Bassano has an active Fire Restriction. A Fire Restriction means no fires except for approved gas or propane cooking appliances, portable fire pits or campfires in designated fire sites within approved campgrounds.

The Town of Bassano has an active Fire Advisory. A Fire Advisory means fires are allowed but public warning advising of extreme caution is issued. This level is a warning and may be upgraded to a Fire Restriction of Fire Ban if conditions do not approve. Always have water nearby and fully extinguish your fire.

The Town of Bassano has NO ACTIVE FIRE BAN.
